Does Venice really smell and is there Gloss at Glockner?
Arriving back to Venice it was like Christmas in July as we had a special delivery from Bumot Motorcycle luggage in Bulgaria! Finally got to put our rather large collection of stickers on too! So stoked to have the newest luggage system from Bumot!… Read the rest

Croatia, Istria, and the long way to Bassano del Grappa.
It was already 32 degrees in Mostar Bosnia when we set out at 930 and headed to the coast of Croatia to try to cool off in Vodice.
We made a small 15 km side trip to see the Dervish Tekke house.… Read the rest

Sicily, Matera, and the Zona di Trulli
We arrived to the island of Sicily in Messina. We stopped for groceries as we planned to camp tonight. We had first though to just go the 28 Km to the first camp place, but decided to press on. It actually took over 2 hours in traffic to get the 62 km to the campground on the cape and we were an exhausted mess by then.… Read the rest

Italy National Parks, Pompei, and south to Sicily
The forecast was for sun in the middle of Italy, but it rained in the night and continued on and off all day. It was a chilly 12.5 as well. The goal is to get to Norchia area where the national parks area starts.… Read the rest

Sardinia and back to the mainland of Italy
Trying to catch up on the posts since the moving of the web hosting has put them so far behind.
From the cape it was a short 30+ km to Alghero for a 2 day rest.
We really needed a day off the bike mostly so I could get the suits to the coin laundry for a much needed wash.… Read the rest

We had missed going to Pisa to see the leaning town on the way to Tuscany since the weather was crappy we did not want to make the detour. So today we made a 70 km trip back east to see the famous landmark.… Read the rest

Rimini, San Marino, and Florence
Camping in the rain is no fun, but packing up in the rain is worse. The rain continued until about 6 am and we all got up at just after 7 to pack up before it started again.
We are headed southeast to see the Republic of San Marino, but will stay in Italy in the beach town of Rimini.… Read the rest

La Spezia, a Villa and then a Moto Rally in Tuncany
After saying goodbye to the Swedes we were off south from Milan.
We planned to take the small SP roads up into the mountains and so the 300 km took 6 hours. Several of the passes were pretty cold at 6 degrees, but there was essentially no traffic.… Read the rest

Lake Como & Milano
We woke to overcast and some drizzle, but it soon dried up.
There is a massive fort on the hill above Briancon.
We had decided after yesterdays issues with the closed passes we would head over the alps to Italy on the toll road to prevent issues.… Read the rest

A Road Trip from the Road trip
The plan for the next 4 days was a loop south into Italy to ride in the Dolomites. We had snow in Riezlern overnight and it was 6 degrees out, but the real problem was going to be what the temperature was on some of the high passes.… Read the rest
