Always look for the silver lining!
Today in Romania we are going to ride north and east to the Bicaz gorge between Gheorgheni and Bicaz and then north thru Borca to Vatra Dornei. This will get us north and east towards Moldova…..

After a good night sleep in Transylvania with some well deserved air con we were on the road early as we wanted to make some miles to get into the Carpathian foothills.
