We have parked the bikes for 2 weeks near to Venice and are headed home to Vancouver for Sara’s brother Ben’s wedding this weekend. The 11 hours of flying and the arriving at what was about 5 am Venice time with no sleep made a mess of us. Luckily we had a day to recover.
The wedding celebration lasted for several days and a great time was had by all. It started with the rehearsal and then the family dinner on Friday night
Tedi and Ben open their exploding box
The big day!
The next exciting thing that happened is that our dear friends Garry and Ivonne from Mexico City arrived in Vancouver on their way to Alaska. We did a bit of touring around in the city between wedding events and then we all went over to Victoria on the ferry.
We actually saw a pod of killer whales on the way there, which I have not seen in 40 years of crossings. In Victoria we toured the Parliament buildings and the city.
I know how can we eat pizza after a month in Italy? That is because this place makes better pizza than we had in Italy!
There are really good free tour of the parliament buildings all day in summer
Farewell to Garry and Ivonne as they head to Alaska!
In the rain of course.
Garry and Ivonne put there sticker on the same pole in the Watson Lake sign forest (totally by accident) as we did 4 years ago!
A quick 2 weeks and back to the life on the road!
