Three more things we love about NYC are that you can refill your growler at the pharmacy and they have Donut Planet and Papaya King. There are so many things to see just walking around. Birds on a wire and iconic buildings like the flatiron Building and the Empire State Building.
We went to see the musical Rock of Ages, to see the Yankees beat the Blue Jays, and saw Will Smith on the Late Show. Having dinner at Anthony Bourdain’s Les Halles on park Avenue this couple drove up on their bike. Ahh the shoes.
We took the subway to Brooklyn for a walking tour of the heights. Starting out we visited this 1842 Gothic revival church with stunning stained glass. Walking thru the neighbourhood you arrive at the Brooklyn Promenade along the water with amazing views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.
This yellow house is where Truman Capote lived. The red brick corner house is where Cher’s Moonstruck was filmed. We walked down the promenade to the ferry dock under the bridge where the ice cream factory is located and then walked over the bridge itself.
