Santiago Part 3 Logrono to Burgos
The plan for today is to see how it goes or Daniel. He is doing much better today and so we decided to keep going instead of waiting and “resting” here.We can stop in the medieval town of Navarrete in 12.5 km or try and make it another 17.4 km to Najera.… Read the rest

Santiago Part 2 Roncesvalles to Logrono
The plan for our day 3 was a 27.4 km walk to Larrasoana. We are feeling pretty good after 2 easy days and think we are up to the challenge. We are a bit sad to leave our friend Kathy (like she said we will always be her first Camino friends) behind since she will be walking at a slower pace (she arrived to Santiago 3 weeks after us).… Read the rest

Barcelona…a side trip on the road trip
From Narbonne we set out south and stayed off the toll roads. We only had 300 km to go and most of the road was secondary highway.
Arriving at the Spanish border we found the usual outlet malls and cross border shoppers, but here there were numbers of gaudily dressed prostitutes standing at the rest stops and round abouts waiting for the truckers I would guess.… Read the rest

Madrid and up the coast of France
Here we parted from the Swede for a few days, as we needed to get back to Madrid today. This meant a 650 KM highway ride back to Spain.
