Some TLC for the bikes and then into storage for winter.
Today we have another straight shot 478 km north east to Leipzig.
The initial plan was to wander up the small roads and we did this for the first 2 hours. It then began to POUR rain and after 45 min of this we were finally able to get on the highway.… Read the rest

We now have just a few days left until we drop the bikes at BMW in Leipzig on Monday. This is about 250 km from Prague, but there is enough time to make a small detour to Sinsheim to see our dear friend Wolfgang.… Read the rest

Oktoberfest!
Today we headed out the 2 hours to Munich in the rain for the Oktoberfest.
Our first stop was near the English Garden where we could walk and see some of the historic buildings nearby.

The Black Forest & Riezlern Austria
Finally we are getting some better weather for our trip to ride the Black Forrest. We took a diagonal route on the small roads thru Pfullendorf and Beuron to finally end up in Baierbronn where we had booked a hotel.
On the way in the distance we saw a huge castle on a hilltop in the distance so we had to check out the 11 th century Hohenzollern Castle.… Read the rest

Deutsche Alpenstrasse/ The Alpine Road
From Eggenfelden we rode south in very windy conditions to meet up with the Alpine road or Deutche Alpinestrasse.

Germany Bamberg BMW, Eggenfelden, & Frey Daytona

Germany Hartz region & Bruges Belgium
Leaving Berlin we were now in search of insurance. We had a list of ADAC offices that do sell green card insurance. We headed south and west 129 km to Dressau-Roblau.
